Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigerant manifold gauge set
  • Vacuum pump
  • Leak detector
  • Multimeter
  • Tube cutter and bender
  • Torque wrench
  • Insulation tape

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance (minimum 30cm from walls), good airflow, and away from heat sources.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate securely on wall, ensuring level placement. Hang indoor unit on plate.
  3. Install Outdoor Unit: Place on stable, level surface with vibration pads. Ensure proper clearance for airflow and service access.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units. Use proper insulation on suction line.
  5. Electrical Connections: Connect power wiring according to local electrical codes. Ensure proper grounding and circuit protection.
  6. Connect Drain Line: Install condensate drain line with proper slope (minimum 1% grade) to ensure water drainage.
  7. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate system to 500 microns, hold for 15 minutes. Charge with correct refrigerant type and amount.
  8. Test Operation: Run system through all modes (cooling, heating, fan) to verify proper operation and check for leaks.
Warning: Only certified HVAC technicians should perform installation and refrigerant handling. Improper installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Operating Modes Explained

Cool Mode

Standard cooling operation with adjustable temperature and fan speed settings

Heat Mode

Heating operation with defrost cycle for cold weather conditions

Dry Mode

Dehumidification without significant cooling, ideal for humid conditions

Fan Mode

Air circulation only without cooling or heating, multiple fan speeds available

Auto Mode

Automatically selects cooling or heating based on room temperature

Sleep Mode

Gradually adjusts temperature and reduces fan speed for comfortable sleeping

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power outage, tripped breaker, faulty remote Check power supply, reset breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear obstructions
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain line, improper installation, frozen coil Clear drain line, check installation slope, defrost system
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, compressor issues Tighten components, clean fan blades, check compressor
Frequent cycling Dirty filters, thermostat issues, oversized unit Clean filters, calibrate thermostat, verify unit sizing
Ice formation on coils Low airflow, low refrigerant, dirty coils Check filters and fan, verify refrigerant charge, clean coils

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
