Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Vacuum pump and manifold gauge
  • Torque wrench
  • Level
  • Pipe cutter and flaring tool
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location for both indoor and outdoor units with proper clearances and structural support.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate on wall, ensuring it is level and secure. Leave space for air circulation and maintenance.
  3. Install Outdoor Unit: Place on stable, level surface with proper vibration isolation pads. Ensure adequate clearance for airflow.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Run insulated copper pipes between units. Use proper bending techniques to avoid kinks.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect power supply to outdoor unit and control wiring between indoor and outdoor units following local electrical codes.
  6. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate air and moisture from refrigerant lines, then charge with specified amount of refrigerant.
  7. Test Operation: Run system through all modes to check for proper cooling, heating, and drainage operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. Improper installation may void warranty and cause safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power outage, tripped breaker, remote control issues Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, low refrigerant Clean filters, clear obstructions, contact technician for refrigerant check
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain line, improper installation Clear drain line, ensure proper slope of drain pipe
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration Tighten mounting hardware, clear debris, check installation stability
Ice formation on coils Dirty filters, low refrigerant, airflow issues Clean filters, contact technician for refrigerant check, ensure proper airflow
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan Clean filters, run self-cleaning mode, clean drain pan
