Standard Wall Mount Unit

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe cutter
  • Vacuum pump
  • Manifold gauge set
  • Tape measure
  • Torque wrench

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper wall support, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with adequate clearance for airflow.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors and ensure it is perfectly level.
  3. Drill Wall Hole: Drill a 70mm hole through the wall at a slight downward angle to the outside for proper drainage.
  4. Install Outdoor Unit: Place outdoor unit on a stable, level surface with proper vibration pads and adequate clearance (minimum 30cm on all sides).
  5. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation and flare connections.
  6. Connect Electrical Wiring: Connect power cables following local electrical codes and manufacturer specifications.
  7. Connect Drainage Pipe: Install drainage pipe with proper slope (minimum 1% gradient) to ensure water flows away from the unit.
  8. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate air and moisture from the system using a vacuum pump, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  9. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and drainage system.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. Improper installation may cause equipment damage, reduced efficiency, and void warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling performance Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear obstructions around unit
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clear drain pipe, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration Tighten mounting screws, clean fan blades, check installation stability
Frozen evaporator Dirty filters, low refrigerant, restricted airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant level, ensure proper airflow
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check indoor unit sensor

Error Codes
