Wall Mounted Split System

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Refrigerant charging scale
  • Tubing cutter and flaring tool
  • Torque wrench
  • Multimeter
  • Level
  • Drill with hole saw

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance (minimum 15cm from ceiling, 30cm from walls) on a solid wall that can support the unit's weight.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit Bracket: Securely mount the mounting plate to the wall using appropriate anchors, ensuring it is perfectly level.
  3. Drill Wall Hole: Drill a 70mm hole through the wall with a slight downward slope to the outside for proper drainage.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation on both pipes. Flare connections properly.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Install drain hose with proper downward slope (minimum 1/100 gradient) to ensure water drainage.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect power cables according to local electrical codes. Ensure proper grounding and correct voltage (220-240V, 50Hz).
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate the system using a vacuum pump for at least 15 minutes, then charge with specified amount of R32 refrigerant.
  8. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by a certified HVAC technician. Improper installation may cause refrigerant leaks, electrical hazards, or void warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power outage, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, incorrect temperature setting Clean filters, clear obstructions, set appropriate temperature
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clean drain pipe, ensure proper downward slope (1/100 minimum)
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration from wall Tighten mounting screws, clean indoor/outdoor units, check installation
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan Clean filters, use anti-bacterial treatment, run fan mode to dry
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, distance too far Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, stay within 7 meters
