Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigerant manifold gauge set
  • Vacuum pump
  • Tube bender and cutter
  • Torque wrench set
  • Multimeter
  • Leak detector
  • Insulation tape and sealants

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Selection: Choose a location with proper clearance (minimum 30cm from walls), good airflow, and away from heat sources.
  2. Mounting Preparation: Install mounting brackets securely to wall studs or concrete using appropriate anchors.
  3. Refrigerant Line Installation: Connect copper lines between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation and avoiding sharp bends.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper grounding. Follow local electrical codes and manufacturer specifications.
  5. Drainage System: Install condensate drain line with proper slope (minimum 1% grade) and trap to prevent air lock.
  6. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns, hold for 15 minutes, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  7. System Testing: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and thermostat operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. Improper installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power loss, tripped breaker, faulty thermostat Check power supply, reset breaker, verify thermostat settings
Insufficient cooling/heating Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear obstructions
Unit freezing up Low airflow, dirty coils, low refrigerant Check filters and coils, verify airflow, check refrigerant level
Water leakage Clogged drain line, improper installation, frozen coil Clear drain line, check installation slope, defrost system
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, compressor issues Tighten components, clean fan blades, check compressor mounts
Frequent cycling Oversized unit, dirty filters, thermostat location Verify unit sizing, clean filters, relocate thermostat if needed

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor failure - Replace sensor
  • E2: Coil temperature sensor failure - Replace sensor
  • E3: Communication error - Check wiring between units
  • E4: High pressure fault - Check condenser, clean if dirty
  • E5: Low pressure fault - Check for leaks, verify charge
  • E6: Compressor overload - Check voltage, allow cool-down
  • E7: Fan motor fault - Check motor and capacitor
  • E8: Defrost system fault - Check defrost sensors and board
