Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Refrigeration manifold gauge set
- Vacuum pump
- Tubing cutter and bender
- Torque wrench
- Multimeter
- Level
- Drill with appropriate bits
Step-by-Step Installation
- Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance (minimum 30cm from walls), solid mounting surface, and away from heat sources.
- Mount Indoor Unit: Securely mount the indoor unit bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors for wall type.
- Install Refrigerant Lines: Connect copper refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation on suction line.
- Electrical Connections: Connect power wiring according to local electrical codes and unit specifications. Ensure proper grounding.
- Drain Line Installation: Install condensate drain line with proper slope (minimum 1% grade) and trap where required.
- Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns, hold vacuum, then charge with specified refrigerant type and quantity.
- System Test: Test operation in cooling and heating modes, check temperature differentials, and verify proper drainage.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit not turning on | Power outage, tripped breaker, thermostat issue | Check circuit breaker, thermostat batteries, power supply |
| Insufficient cooling/heating | Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow | Clean filters, check for obstructions, contact technician for refrigerant check |
| Unusual noises | Loose parts, debris in fan, compressor issues | Check for loose panels, clear debris around outdoor unit |
| Water leakage | Clogged drain line, improper installation, frozen coil | Clear drain line, check installation slope, check for ice on coils |
| Frequent cycling | Oversized unit, thermostat location, dirty filters | Check thermostat location, clean filters, verify proper sizing |
| Error codes on display | System faults, sensor issues, communication errors | Note error code, power cycle system, contact technician if persistent |
Common Error Codes
- E1/E2: Room temperature sensor fault - Check sensor connection
- E3/E4: Coil temperature sensor fault - Check sensor connection
- E5: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
- E6: High pressure fault - Check for restricted airflow, dirty coils
- E7: Low pressure fault - Check for refrigerant leak, restrictions
- E8: Compressor overload - Check voltage, allow system to cool down
- E9: Fan motor fault - Check fan motor and capacitor
