Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and insert two AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.
  2. Remote Pairing: Point the remote at your Carrier air conditioner and press the "Power" button to establish initial connection.
  3. Code Synchronization: For universal remotes, enter the Carrier-specific code using the code lookup table provided in the manual.
  4. Signal Test: Test all major functions (power, temperature adjustment, mode selection) to ensure proper communication with the AC unit.
  5. Remote Positioning: Place the remote in a location with clear line-of-sight to the AC unit's infrared receiver.
  6. Safety Check: Ensure the remote is kept away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
