Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Refrigeration gauge manifold
- Vacuum pump
- Tubing cutter
- Torque wrench
- Multimeter
- Leak detector
Step-by-Step Installation
- Select Installation Location: Choose a level, stable outdoor location with proper clearance for airflow and service access.
- Prepare Mounting Pad: Install a level concrete pad or approved composite pad at least 4 inches above ground level.
- Position Outdoor Unit: Place the condenser unit on the pad, ensuring proper orientation and clearance from walls and vegetation.
- Connect Refrigerant Lines: Install properly sized copper lines between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring clean, dry connections.
- Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper disconnect switch. Follow local electrical codes and manufacturer specifications.
- Connect Drain Line: Install condensate drain line with proper slope and trap to ensure proper drainage.
- Evacuate and Charge System: Evacuate system to 500 microns, then charge with specified refrigerant type and quantity.
- System Startup: Start system and verify proper operation, checking pressures, temperatures, and airflow.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit not cooling | Power issue, thermostat setting, dirty filter | Check circuit breaker, verify thermostat settings, clean or replace air filter |
| Poor cooling performance | Dirty coils, low refrigerant, restricted airflow | Clean condenser and evaporator coils, check refrigerant charge, verify proper airflow |
| Unit cycles on/off frequently | Dirty filter, oversized unit, thermostat location | Clean filter, verify proper sizing, check thermostat placement |
| Unusual noises | Loose parts, debris in fan, failing motor | Tighten all fasteners, clear debris from fan, check motor bearings |
| Water leakage | Clogged drain line, improper slope, frozen coil | Clear drain line, ensure proper slope, check for ice formation |
| High energy bills | Dirty coils, low refrigerant, air leaks | Clean coils, check refrigerant charge, seal duct leaks |
