Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Refrigerant manifold gauge set
- Vacuum pump
- Tubing cutter and bender
- Leak detector
- Multimeter
- Torque wrench set
- Flaring tool kit
Step-by-Step Installation
- Site Preparation: Select a location with proper clearance for airflow and service access on a solid, level foundation.
- Uncrating and Inspection: Remove all shipping materials and inspect for damage. Check all components against packing list.
- Refrigerant Line Installation: Install properly sized copper lines with appropriate insulation. Ensure lines are clean and dry.
- Electrical Connections: Connect to properly sized circuit with correct voltage (208-230V single phase or 460V three phase).
- Condensate Drain Installation: Install drain line with proper slope and trap. Connect to approved drainage system.
- System Evacuation: Evacuate system to 500 microns or less and hold vacuum to ensure no leaks.
- Refrigerant Charging: Charge with specified refrigerant type and amount according to nameplate data.
- System Commissioning: Start system and verify proper operation of all components and safety controls.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit not cooling | Power issue, thermostat setting, refrigerant leak | Check power supply, verify thermostat settings, check refrigerant charge |
| Poor cooling performance | Dirty filters/coils, low refrigerant, airflow restriction | Clean filters and coils, check refrigerant charge, verify airflow |
| Unit cycles on/off frequently | Dirty filter, thermostat location, oversized unit | Replace filter, relocate thermostat, verify proper sizing |
| Unusual noises | Loose parts, debris in fan, bearing wear | Tighten all fasteners, clean fan assembly, check bearings |
| Water leakage | Clogged drain line, improper slope, frozen coil | Clear drain line, ensure proper slope, check airflow |
| High energy consumption | Dirty coils, low refrigerant, duct leaks | Clean coils, check charge, seal ductwork |
