Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Vacuum pump and manifold gauge
  • Tape measure

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location on an interior wall, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with proper clearance for airflow.
  2. Mount Wall Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors for your wall type, ensuring it is perfectly level.
  3. Drill Wall Hole: Drill a 70mm hole through the wall for refrigerant piping, drainage, and electrical connections.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect the indoor and outdoor units with insulated copper pipes, ensuring proper flaring and tight connections.
  5. Connect Drainage: Install the condensate drain hose with a downward slope to ensure proper water drainage.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated circuit with proper grounding according to local electrical codes.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate the system using a vacuum pump, then charge with the specified amount of refrigerant.
  8. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by a certified HVAC technician. DIY installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit won't turn on Power outage, circuit breaker tripped, remote battery dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, incorrect temperature setting Clean filters, clear obstructions, set appropriate temperature
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clear drain pipe, ensure proper downward slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, ice buildup Tighten mounting, clear debris, check for proper refrigerant charge
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check sensor window
Unit turns on/off frequently Dirty filters, thermostat placement, oversized unit Clean filters, relocate thermostat, consult technician
