Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Adjustable wrench set
- Voltage tester
- Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
- Pipe cutter
- Level
- Refrigerant manifold gauge
Step-by-Step Installation
- Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance for airflow and service access, on a solid, level surface.
- Prepare Mounting Surface: Ensure the mounting pad or platform is level and can support the unit's weight.
- Install Refrigerant Lines: Connect copper refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units using proper brazing techniques.
- Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 240V, 60Hz circuit with proper grounding. Follow local electrical codes.
- Connect Condensate Drain: Install condensate drain line with proper slope away from the unit.
- Install Thermostat Wiring: Run low-voltage wiring between indoor unit and thermostat location.
- Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate air and moisture from refrigerant lines, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
- System Startup: Power up system and test all functions including cooling, heating (if equipped), and fan operations.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| System not turning on | Power outage, tripped breaker, thermostat issue | Check circuit breaker, thermostat batteries, power supply |
| Insufficient cooling/heating | Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked vents | Clean/replace filters, check vents, contact technician for refrigerant check |
| Unusual noises | Loose parts, debris in fan, compressor issues | Turn off system, check for obstructions, contact technician |
| Water leakage | Clogged drain line, frozen evaporator coil | Clear condensate drain line, check for ice on coils |
| Frequent cycling | Dirty filters, thermostat location, oversized unit | Clean filters, relocate thermostat if near heat source |
| High energy bills | Dirty coils, leaky ducts, improper settings | Clean coils, seal ductwork, adjust thermostat settings |
