Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigeration manifold gauge set
  • Vacuum pump
  • Torque wrench
  • Tube bender and cutter
  • Leak detector
  • Multimeter
  • Level

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a solid, level pad for outdoor unit with proper clearance (minimum 24" on all sides).
  2. Install Condenser Unit: Place outdoor unit on vibration-absorbing pad and secure according to local codes.
  3. Install Evaporator Coil: Mount indoor coil in plenum or air handler, ensuring proper drainage.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Install properly sized copper lines with insulation on suction line. Purge with nitrogen while brazing.
  5. Electrical Connections: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper disconnect. Follow NEC and local electrical codes.
  6. Connect Condensate Drain: Install drain line with proper slope and trap. Consider secondary drain pan.
  7. Evacuate and Charge System: Evacuate to 500 microns minimum, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  8. Test System Operation: Start system, check pressures, temperatures, and verify proper cooling operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by licensed HVAC technicians only. Improper installation can cause equipment damage, personal injury, and void warranty.

Key Features

Inverter Scroll Compressor

Variable speed compressor adjusts cooling output to match exact demand, providing consistent temperatures, improved efficiency, and quieter operation.

Two-Stage Cooling

Operates at low stage for mild days (70% capacity) and high stage for extreme heat (100% capacity), improving comfort and efficiency.

Smart Thermostat Compatibility

Works with most smart thermostats for remote temperature control, scheduling, and energy usage monitoring via smartphone app.

Corrosion Protection

WeatherGuard™ protection with powder-coated steel cabinet, galvanized steel base pan, and louvered coil guard for durability in harsh conditions.

Quiet Operation

Sound-dampening compressor blanket, swept-wing fan blades, and vibration isolators reduce operating noise to as low as 72 dB.

High-Efficiency Coil

Enhanced surface area aluminum fins with hydrophilic coating improve heat transfer and resist moisture for optimal performance.

Operating Modes

Cool Mode

Standard cooling operation with temperature control and fan speed adjustment

Energy Saver

Reduces energy consumption by cycling fan with compressor operation

Dehumidify Mode

Removes excess humidity while maintaining comfortable temperature

Fan Only

Circulates air without cooling, with multiple speed options

Auto Mode

Automatically switches between heating and cooling based on set temperature

Sleep Mode

Gradually adjusts temperature overnight for energy savings and comfort

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not cooling Thermostat setting, power issue, dirty filter Check thermostat settings, verify power, replace air filter
Insufficient cooling Dirty coils, low refrigerant, restricted airflow Clean coils, check refrigerant charge, check ductwork
Unit cycles on/off frequently Dirty filter, thermostat location, oversized unit Replace filter, relocate thermostat, consult technician
Water leakage Clogged drain line, improper slope, frozen coil Clear drain line, ensure proper slope, check airflow
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, failing motor Tighten components, clear debris, contact technician
High energy bills Dirty filters, leaky ducts, improper sizing Maintain filters, seal ductwork, verify proper sizing

Error Codes

  • E1: Communication error - Check thermostat wiring
  • E2: High pressure fault - Check condenser airflow
  • E3: Low pressure fault - Check refrigerant charge
  • E4: Compressor overload - Allow system to reset
  • E5: Outdoor temperature sensor fault
  • E6: Indoor coil sensor fault
  • E7: Fan motor fault - Check fan operation
  • E8: Defrost sensor fault
