Installation, Maintenance & Troubleshooting Guide

High-Capacity Commercial Series

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigeration manifold gauge set
  • Vacuum pump
  • Torque wrench set
  • Leak detector
  • Electrical multimeter
  • Tube bender and cutter
  • Insulation materials

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Preparation: Select a location with proper clearance (minimum 1m on all sides), solid foundation, and adequate drainage.
  2. Uncrating and Inspection: Remove all packaging materials, inspect for shipping damage, and verify all components are present.
  3. Mounting Unit: Install vibration isolators and secure the outdoor unit to a concrete pad or roof curb using appropriate fasteners.
  4. Refrigerant Piping: Install copper piping with proper insulation, ensuring correct sizing and minimal bends. Purge with nitrogen during brazing.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated power supply with proper circuit protection. Follow local electrical codes and manufacturer specifications.
  6. Drainage System: Install condensate drain line with proper slope (minimum 1/4" per foot) and trap. Test for proper drainage.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns, hold for 30 minutes. Charge with specified refrigerant type and quantity.
  8. Commissioning: Start system, check all operating parameters, verify airflow, and calibrate controls.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. Improper installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
System not starting Power loss, safety lockout, control failure Check circuit breakers, reset system, verify control voltage
Insufficient cooling Low refrigerant, dirty filters, fan issues Check refrigerant charge, clean filters, inspect fan motor
Unusual noises Loose components, fan imbalance, refrigerant flow Tighten mounting hardware, balance fan, check expansion valve
Water leakage Clogged drain, improper slope, pump failure Clear drain line, adjust slope, test condensate pump
High power consumption Dirty coils, overcharge, mechanical issues Clean coils, verify charge, check compressor operation
Error codes displayed Sensor failure, communication error, safety trip Refer to error code manual, check sensors, reset system

Common Error Codes

  • E1: High pressure fault - Check condenser airflow and refrigerant charge
  • E2: Low pressure fault - Check for leaks and refrigerant charge
  • E3: Compressor overload - Check electrical connections and compressor
  • E4: Discharge temperature high - Check refrigerant charge and airflow
  • E5: Communication error - Check wiring and control board
  • E6: Outdoor temperature sensor fault - Replace sensor
  • E7: Indoor temperature sensor fault - Replace sensor
  • E8: Frost protection mode - Check airflow and filter condition
