Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Tape measure
  • Vacuum pump and gauge manifold

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper wall support, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with adequate clearance for airflow.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit Bracket: Securely mount the indoor unit bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors and ensure it is perfectly level.
  3. Install Outdoor Unit: Place outdoor unit on a stable, level surface with proper vibration pads and adequate clearance for airflow and service access.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect copper refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation and leak-free connections.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 220V, 50Hz circuit with proper grounding. Follow local electrical codes and regulations.
  6. Drainage Connection: Install drain pipe with proper slope away from the unit to ensure condensate water drains effectively.
  7. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate air and moisture from refrigerant lines using a vacuum pump, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  8. Test Run: Run the air conditioner through complete cooling and heating cycles to check for proper operation and temperature performance.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. DIY installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit won't start Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak, outdoor unit obstructed Clean filters, clear obstructions, check for leaks, ensure outdoor unit clearance
Water leakage Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope, frozen evaporator Clear drain pipe, ensure proper slope, check for ice buildup
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibrating pipes, compressor issues Tighten mounting hardware, clear debris, secure refrigerant lines
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan, stagnant water Clean/replace filters, use self-cleaning function, ensure proper drainage
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, remote sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check indoor unit sensor

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Pipe temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E3: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • E4: High pressure protection - Check for blocked condenser or fan failure
  • E5: Low pressure protection - Check for refrigerant leak or blockage
  • E6: Compressor overload - Allow unit to cool down, check voltage
  • E7: Fan motor failure - Check fan motor and connections
