Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote and insert two AAA batteries with correct polarity.
  2. Power On: Press the ON/OFF button to activate the remote. The display should illuminate.
  3. Pair with AC Unit: Point the remote directly at the air conditioner's infrared receiver (usually located on the front panel).
  4. Initial Settings: Set the clock, temperature units (°C/°F), and language preferences using the SETTINGS button.
  5. Test Functions: Test basic operations: temperature adjustment, fan speed, mode selection, and timer settings.
  6. Mounting: Use the provided wall mount or keep in a location with clear line-of-sight to the AC unit.
  7. Programming: For universal remotes, follow the code search procedure to sync with your specific Daikin model.
Important: Keep the remote away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Replace batteries when the display dims or functions become unresponsive.

Troubleshooting
