Before You Begin:

  • Ensure air conditioner is powered and in standby mode
  • Check remote control battery compartment
  • Have model number of your Daikin unit ready
  • Clear line of sight between remote and AC unit

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment and insert 2 AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.
  2. Power On Remote: Press any button to activate the remote control. The display should illuminate.
  3. Initial Synchronization: Point remote directly at AC unit's infrared receiver from within 5 meters.
  4. Model Selection: For universal remotes, enter your Daikin model code using the code lookup guide.
  5. Test Functions: Test basic operations: Power On/Off, Temperature Up/Down, Mode Selection.
  6. Advanced Setup: Configure timer settings, fan speed preferences, and swing functions if available.
  7. Final Check: Ensure all functions respond correctly and remote operates consistently.
Important: Keep remote control away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Replace batteries when display dims or functions become unresponsive.
