Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Refrigeration manifold gauge set
- Vacuum pump
- Torque wrench
- Pipe cutter and flaring tool
- Multimeter
- Level
- Drill with hole saw attachment
Step-by-Step Installation
- Site Selection: Choose appropriate locations for indoor unit (ceiling void) and outdoor unit with proper clearances for airflow and maintenance access.
- Ductwork Planning: Design ductwork layout ensuring proper airflow distribution and minimal static pressure loss.
- Mounting Indoor Unit: Securely mount the indoor unit in ceiling void using vibration isolation mounts and ensure proper drainage slope.
- Refrigerant Piping: Install refrigerant lines with proper insulation, ensuring no kinks or sharp bends in piping.
- Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper grounding according to local electrical codes.
- Drainage System: Install condensate drain line with proper trap and venting to prevent air lock.
- Outdoor Unit Installation: Place outdoor unit on stable pad with proper vibration isolation and minimum clearances.
- System Evacuation: Evacuate system to 500 microns or less to remove moisture and non-condensables.
- Commissioning: Charge with correct refrigerant amount, test all functions, and verify proper airflow at all registers.

Key Features
Inverter Technology
Daikin's advanced inverter compressor adjusts speed continuously to maintain precise temperature control, reducing energy consumption by up to 30% compared to conventional systems.
Intelligent Eye
Built-in motion sensor detects room occupancy and adjusts operation to save energy when rooms are unoccupied, automatically returning to set temperature when movement is detected.
3D Airflow
Advanced airflow control allows for multi-directional air distribution, ensuring even temperature throughout the room without creating uncomfortable drafts.
Coanda Airflow
Uses ceiling surface to distribute air evenly across the room, preventing direct airflow on occupants while maintaining consistent temperature.
Daikin Intelligent Touch Controller
Wi-Fi enabled touchscreen controller with smartphone app integration for remote control, scheduling, energy monitoring, and maintenance alerts.
Powerful Heating Performance
Maintains heating capacity even at extremely low outdoor temperatures (-20°C) with Daikin's advanced defrost control system.
Operation Modes
Auto Mode
System automatically selects cooling or heating based on room temperature
Powerful Mode
Maximum capacity operation for rapid cooling or heating
Quiet Mode
Reduced fan speed for ultra-quiet operation during nighttime
Eco Mode
Energy-saving operation with optimized temperature control
Dry Mode
Dehumidification without significant cooling for humid conditions
Fan Only Mode
Air circulation without cooling or heating
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| System not starting | Power issue, circuit breaker tripped, controller communication error | Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, ensure controller is properly connected |
| Poor cooling/heating performance | Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked outdoor unit | Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear outdoor unit obstructions |
| Water leakage | Clogged drain line, improper drainage slope, frozen evaporator | Clear drain line, ensure proper slope, check for ice formation |
| Unusual noises | Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration transmission | Tighten all fasteners, clear debris, check isolation mounts |
| Frequent cycling | Oversized system, thermostat location, dirty filters | Check system sizing, relocate thermostat if near heat source, clean filters |
| Error code displayed | Various system faults detected | Refer to error code chart in manual or contact service technician |
Common Error Codes
- U0: Refrigerant shortage - Check for leaks and refrigerant charge
- U2: Low voltage or power failure - Check power supply and connections
- U4: Communication error between indoor and outdoor units - Check wiring and connections
- E5/E6: Indoor unit malfunction - Check indoor PCB and sensors
- H8: Overload protection - Check for airflow restrictions or compressor issues
- L5: Overcurrent protection - Check electrical components and wiring
- F3: Discharge pipe temperature sensor error - Check sensor and connections
