Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Refrigeration manifold gauge set
- Vacuum pump
- Torque wrench
- Pipe cutter and flaring tool
- Multimeter
- Level
- Drill with hole saw attachment
Step-by-Step Installation
- Select Installation Location: Choose appropriate locations for indoor and outdoor units with proper clearances and structural support.
- Install Mounting Brackets: Securely mount outdoor unit brackets on a solid concrete pad or wall mounting frame.
- Run Refrigerant Lines: Install insulated copper refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units with proper slope and supports.
- Electrical Connections: Connect power supply to outdoor unit and indoor unit following local electrical codes and manufacturer specifications.
- Ductwork Installation: Install and seal ductwork to indoor unit, ensuring proper airflow and insulation.
- Drain Line Installation: Install condensate drain line with proper slope and trap to ensure proper drainage.
- Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate system to remove moisture and air, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
- System Testing: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and thermostat operation.
