Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe cutter
  • Vacuum pump
  • Manifold gauge
  • Torque wrench

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper wall support, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with adequate clearance for airflow.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate on wall, ensuring it is level. Hang indoor unit securely on the mounting plate.
  3. Install Outdoor Unit: Place outdoor unit on a solid, level surface with proper vibration isolation pads and adequate clearance for airflow.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units using flare connections. Ensure proper insulation on pipes.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Install drain hose with proper downward slope to ensure proper condensation drainage.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded electrical supply according to local electrical codes. Use dedicated circuit.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate air and moisture from refrigerant lines using vacuum pump, then charge with specified amount of refrigerant.
  8. Test Run: Run the air conditioner through complete cooling and heating cycles to check for proper operation and leaks.
Warning: Installation must be performed by a qualified HVAC technician certified to handle refrigerants. Improper installation may void warranty and cause safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Air conditioner won't start Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling/heating performance Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak, outdoor unit obstructed Clean filters, clear obstructions, check for leaks, clear outdoor unit area
Water leakage from indoor unit Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope, dirty filters Clean drain pipe, ensure proper slope, clean filters regularly
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration from improper installation Tighten all screws, clean fan blades, check installation stability
Frozen indoor unit Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow, fan motor issue Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, ensure proper airflow
Remote control not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, remote sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check remote sensor

Error Codes

  • U0: Refrigerant shortage - Check for leaks and refrigerant charge
