Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Roof mounting kit
- Drill with hole saw attachment
- Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
- Wire strippers/crimpers
- Sealant gun with RV roof sealant
- Multimeter
Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a location on the RV roof with adequate structural support and clearance from vents and antennas.
- Prepare Roof Opening: Mark and cut the roof opening according to the template provided in the installation kit.
- Install Roof Curb: Secure the roof curb to the RV roof using appropriate fasteners and seal thoroughly with RV roof sealant.
- Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 120V, 60Hz, 15-amp circuit. Follow all local electrical codes and RV manufacturer guidelines.
- Mount AC Unit: Lift the air conditioner onto the roof curb and secure it with the provided bolts and gaskets.
- Connect Ductwork: Connect the duct system to the air conditioner's plenum for proper air distribution throughout the RV.
- Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, fan speeds, and thermostat operation before finalizing installation.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| AC unit won't start | Power issue, thermostat setting, circuit breaker | Check power supply, verify thermostat settings, reset circuit breaker |
| Poor cooling performance | Dirty filter, low refrigerant, restricted airflow | Clean or replace filter, check for obstructions, verify refrigerant charge |
| Unit cycles on/off frequently | Dirty condenser, thermostat location, electrical issue | Clean condenser coils, check thermostat placement, verify voltage |
| Water leaking inside RV | Clogged drain tube, improper installation, condensate buildup | Clear drain tube, check installation angle, ensure proper drainage |
| Unusual noises | Loose components, debris in fan, motor issues | Tighten mounting hardware, clear debris, check fan motor |
| Fan runs but no cooling | Compressor issue, refrigerant leak, capacitor failure | Check compressor operation, look for refrigerant leaks, test capacitors |
Error Codes
- E1: Room temperature sensor error - Check sensor connection
- E2: Evaporator temperature sensor error - Check sensor and wiring
- E3: Condenser temperature sensor error - Verify sensor operation
- E4: Communication error - Check control board connections
- E5: Overcurrent protection - Check electrical supply and compressor
