Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Roof cutting tool
- Drill with various bits
- Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
- Sealant gun
- Multimeter
- Level
Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a flat, reinforced area on the caravan roof with adequate structural support and clearance from roof vents.
- Prepare Roof Opening: Mark and cut the roof opening according to template dimensions provided in the installation kit.
- Install Roof Curb: Secure the roof curb using appropriate sealant and fasteners, ensuring watertight sealing around the perimeter.
- Mount AC Unit: Lift and position the air conditioner onto the roof curb, aligning with mounting holes.
- Electrical Connection: Connect to the caravan's 12V/24V DC system and 230V AC shore power following wiring diagrams. Install appropriate circuit breakers.
- Ductwork Installation: Connect and seal ductwork to distribute cool air throughout the caravan interior.
- Test System: Test cooling, heating (if equipped), and fan functions. Check for proper drainage and electrical operation.
