Roof-Mounted Cooling System

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Roof cutting tool
  • Drill with various bits
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Sealant gun
  • Multimeter
  • Level

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a flat, reinforced area on the caravan roof with adequate structural support and clearance from roof vents.
  2. Prepare Roof Opening: Mark and cut the roof opening according to template dimensions provided in the installation kit.
  3. Install Roof Curb: Secure the roof curb using appropriate sealant and fasteners, ensuring watertight sealing around the perimeter.
  4. Mount AC Unit: Lift and position the air conditioner onto the roof curb, aligning with mounting holes.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to the caravan's 12V/24V DC system and 230V AC shore power following wiring diagrams. Install appropriate circuit breakers.
  6. Ductwork Installation: Connect and seal ductwork to distribute cool air throughout the caravan interior.
  7. Test System: Test cooling, heating (if equipped), and fan functions. Check for proper drainage and electrical operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified technicians to ensure proper operation, waterproof integrity, and maintain warranty coverage.
