Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Roof mounting kit
- Sealant (RV approved)
- Power drill with hole saw
- Wire strippers/crimpers
- Multimeter
- Screwdrivers set
- Wrench set
Step-by-Step Installation
- Roof Preparation: Select a flat, reinforced area on the caravan roof away from vents and antennas.
- Template Positioning: Use the provided template to mark cutting lines for the unit and wiring holes.
- Cut Opening: Carefully cut the roof opening using appropriate tools, ensuring clean edges.
- Apply Sealant: Apply RV-approved sealant around the opening to prevent water ingress.
- Mount Unit: Position the air conditioner unit and secure with mounting brackets and screws.
- Electrical Connection: Connect to 12V/24V DC system for control and 230V AC for compressor power.
- Ductwork Installation: Install and seal duct connections to ensure proper airflow distribution.
- Control Panel: Mount and wire the interior control panel according to wiring diagram.
- System Test: Test all functions including cooling, heating, and fan modes.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit not starting | Power supply issue, blown fuse, low voltage | Check power connections, replace fuse, verify battery voltage |
| Poor cooling performance | Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked condenser | Clean filters, check for leaks, clear condenser fins |
| Water leakage inside | Clogged drain tube, improper installation angle | Clear drain tube, ensure proper unit leveling |
| Unusual noises | Loose components, debris in fan, worn bearings | Tighten mounting hardware, clean fan blades, inspect motor |
| Fan running but no cooling | Compressor issue, refrigerant leak, electrical fault | Check compressor operation, look for leaks, test capacitors |
| Error code displayed | System fault, sensor failure, communication error | Refer to error code chart, check wiring connections |
Error Codes
- E1: Room temperature sensor fault - Check sensor connection
- E2: Evaporator temperature sensor fault - Inspect sensor wiring
- E3: High pressure protection - Clean condenser, check refrigerant
- E4: Low pressure protection - Check for refrigerant leaks
- E5: Communication error - Check control panel wiring
- E6: Compressor overload - Allow system to cool, check voltage
- E7: Fan motor fault - Inspect fan motor and blades
- E8: Heating system fault - Check heating elements (if equipped)
