Roof Mounted Air Conditioner

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Wrench set
  • Sealant gun
  • Measuring tape
  • Level

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a suitable roof location with adequate structural support and clearance from other roof fixtures.
  2. Prepare Roof Opening: Mark and cut the roof opening according to the template provided in the installation kit.
  3. Install Roof Curb: Secure the roof curb to the caravan roof using appropriate sealant and fasteners to ensure watertight installation.
  4. Mount Air Conditioner: Carefully lift and position the Ibis 4 unit onto the roof curb, aligning all mounting points.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to the caravan's 12V/24V DC system and 230V AC power supply as per wiring diagram.
  6. Install Interior Panel: Mount the interior control panel and connect all wiring between roof unit and interior components.
  7. Test System: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and thermostat operation.
Warning: Installation should only be performed by qualified technicians familiar with caravan electrical systems and roof structures.
