Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Flaring tool set
  • Tubing cutter
  • Torque wrench
  • Multimeter
  • Level
  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Refrigerant scale

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose appropriate locations for indoor and outdoor units considering airflow, drainage, and structural support.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit Bracket: Securely mount the wall bracket using appropriate anchors for wall type, ensuring it is perfectly level.
  3. Create Wall Penetration: Drill a 3-inch hole through the exterior wall with a slight downward slope for drainage.
  4. Install Refrigerant Lines: Connect copper refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation on suction line.
  5. Connect Electrical Wiring: Run electrical wiring from outdoor unit to indoor unit following local electrical codes and manufacturer specifications.
  6. Connect Drain Line: Install condensate drain line with proper slope and route to appropriate drainage location.
  7. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate the system to 500 microns, hold for 15 minutes, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  8. Test System Operation: Test cooling and heating modes, check temperature differentials, and verify proper drainage.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. Proper refrigerant handling and electrical safety procedures must be followed.

Key Features

Inverter Technology

Advanced DC inverter compressor adjusts speed to match cooling/heating demand, providing consistent temperature control and significant energy savings.

Multi-Zone Capability

Connect up to 5 indoor units to a single outdoor unit, allowing independent temperature control in different rooms or zones.

Wi-Fi Connectivity

Control your system remotely via smartphone app, set schedules, monitor energy usage, and receive maintenance alerts.

Quiet Operation

Indoor units operate as low as 19 dB, while outdoor units feature sound-dampening technology for quiet neighborhood operation.

Auto Clean Function

Automatically dries the indoor unit's heat exchanger after operation to prevent mold and mildew growth, improving air quality.

Wide Temperature Range

Provides efficient heating even in extreme cold conditions down to -13°F, eliminating the need for supplemental heating.

Operating Modes Explained

Cool Mode

Standard air conditioning operation with adjustable temperature and fan speed settings

Heat Mode

Heating operation with defrost cycle for cold weather performance

Dry Mode

Dehumidification without significant cooling, ideal for humid conditions

Fan Mode

Circulates air without heating or cooling, with multiple fan speed options

Auto Mode

Automatically selects cooling or heating based on room temperature

Sleep Mode

Gradually adjusts temperature for optimal sleeping conditions and energy savings

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power outage, tripped breaker, remote control issues Check power supply, reset breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear obstructions
Water leakage Clogged drain line, improper installation slope Clear drain line, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration Tighten mounting, clear debris, check isolation
Ice formation Low refrigerant, dirty filters, faulty defrost Check charge, clean filters, verify defrost operation
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, sensor issues Replace batteries, clear line of sight, check sensor

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Pipe temperature sensor failure - Check sensor and insulation
  • E3: Communication error - Check wiring between units
  • E4: High pressure protection - Check for restrictions, clean coils
  • E5: Low pressure protection - Check for leaks, verify charge
  • E6: Compressor overload - Check voltage, allow system to cool
  • E7: Outdoor fan motor error - Check fan motor and capacitor
  • E8: Four-way valve error - Check valve operation
