Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
System not starting Power issue, thermostat setting, safety lockout Check circuit breaker, verify thermostat settings, wait for lockout reset
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear obstructions
Water leakage Clogged drain line, improper slope, frozen coil Clear drain line, ensure proper slope, check for ice formation
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration Tighten components, clear debris, check mounting
Frequent cycling Dirty filters, thermostat location, oversized unit Clean filters, relocate thermostat, consult technician
Error code display System fault, sensor failure, communication error Note error code, power cycle system, contact technician

Common Error Codes

  • E0: Room temperature sensor fault - Check sensor connection
  • E1: Indoor unit PCB fault - Power cycle system
  • E3: High pressure protection - Check for blockage, wait for reset
  • E4: Low pressure protection - Check refrigerant charge
  • E5: Compressor overload - Allow system to cool down
  • E6: Communication error - Check wiring between units
  • E7: Outdoor fan motor fault - Check fan operation
  • E9: Water level alarm - Check drain system
