Window AC Unit

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Measuring tape
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Drill with bits
  • Utility knife
  • Saw (if needed for window frame)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a window that can support the weight of the air conditioner and has access to a proper electrical outlet.
  2. Prepare the Window: Clean the window area and measure to ensure proper fit. Remove any obstacles from the installation area.
  3. Install Mounting Brackets: Secure the mounting brackets to the window sill according to manufacturer instructions.
  4. Position the Unit: Carefully lift the air conditioner and place it in the window opening, ensuring it sits level on the brackets.
  5. Secure the Unit: Extend the side panels and secure them in place. Use screws to fasten the unit to the window frame.
  6. Seal the Gaps: Install the foam seals provided to prevent air leaks around the unit.
  7. Electrical Connection: Plug into a dedicated 115V, 15A grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.
  8. Test Operation: Turn on the unit and test all functions including cooling, fan speeds, and thermostat settings.
Warning: Installation should be performed by two people due to the weight of the unit. Ensure proper support to prevent injury or damage.
