Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Phillips screwdriver
- Level
- Tape measure
- Drill with 3/8" bit
- Saw (for cutting window opening if needed)
- Caulking gun
Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a sturdy window that can support the unit's weight, preferably near an electrical outlet.
- Prepare Window Area: Clean the window sill and surrounding area. Remove any obstacles or debris.
- Install Mounting Brackets: Secure the mounting brackets to the window sill using provided screws.
- Place AC Unit: Carefully lift and place the air conditioner onto the mounting brackets.
- Extend Side Panels: Extend the side panels to fill the window opening and secure them in place.
- Seal Gaps: Use weather stripping or foam insulation to seal any gaps around the unit to prevent air leaks.
- Electrical Connection: Plug into a dedicated 115V, 15-amp grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords.
- Test Operation: Turn on the unit and test all functions including cooling, fan, and thermostat.
