Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Tape measure
  • Vacuum pump and manifold gauge

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper clearance (minimum 50cm from walls/ceilings) and adequate structural support.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate securely on wall, ensuring it's level. Hang indoor unit on plate.
  3. Install Outdoor Unit: Place outdoor unit on stable, level surface with proper vibration isolation pads.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units using flare connections. Ensure proper insulation.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to properly rated electrical supply (220-240V, 50Hz). Follow local electrical codes.
  6. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate air and moisture from refrigerant lines using vacuum pump, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  7. Test Run: Run air conditioner through complete cooling and heating cycles to check for proper operation and leaks.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. DIY installation voids warranty and may be dangerous.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Air conditioner won't start Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak Clean filters, clear obstructions, contact service technician
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clear drain pipe, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration Tighten components, clear debris, check installation stability
Frozen indoor unit Dirty filters, low refrigerant, fan issues Clean filters, turn off to defrost, contact service if persistent
Remote control not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, sensor issues Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check indoor unit sensor
