Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Tape measure
  • Vacuum pump and gauge manifold

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper wall support, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with adequate clearance for airflow.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit Bracket: Securely mount the indoor unit mounting plate to the wall using appropriate anchors and screws.
  3. Create Wall Opening: Drill a 3-inch hole through the wall for refrigerant lines and drainage hose, ensuring proper slope for drainage.
  4. Install Outdoor Unit: Place outdoor unit on stable, level surface with proper vibration pads and minimum 12-inch clearance on all sides.
  5. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation and leak-free connections.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper grounding according to local electrical codes.
  7. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate air and moisture from refrigerant lines, then charge with specified amount of refrigerant.
  8. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and thermostat operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians only. Improper installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit won't turn on Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak, incorrect mode Clean filters, clear obstructions, check for leaks, verify mode setting
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope, frozen evaporator Clear drain pipe, check installation angle, defrost unit
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration from unstable mounting Tighten all screws, clean fan blades, secure mounting
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan, accumulated dust Clean filters and drain pan, run self-cleaning cycle
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, remote sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check sensor window
