Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Tape measure
  • Vacuum pump and gauge manifold

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper wall support, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with adequate clearance for airflow.
  2. Install Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to the wall using appropriate anchors and ensure it is perfectly level.
  3. Create Wall Opening: Drill a hole through the wall for refrigerant lines, drain hose, and electrical connections.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect the pre-charged refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring tight connections.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Route the condensate drain hose to proper drainage with a downward slope to prevent water accumulation.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 220-240V, 50Hz circuit with proper grounding. Follow local electrical codes.
  7. Vacuum and Test: Evacuate air from refrigerant lines using a vacuum pump, then release refrigerant charge and test system operation.
  8. Final Check: Secure all connections, check for leaks, and verify proper cooling and heating functions.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. DIY installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit won't turn on Power outage, circuit breaker tripped, remote battery dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, incorrect temperature setting Clean filters, clear obstructions, set appropriate temperature
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clear drain pipe, ensure proper downward slope of drain hose
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, ice buildup Tighten components, clean fan blades, check for ice formation
Frozen evaporator coil Dirty filters, low refrigerant, restricted airflow Clean filters, check for refrigerant leak, ensure proper airflow
Remote control not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, sensor issue Replace batteries, clear line of sight, check sensor window

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Evaporator temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E3: Communication error between units - Check wiring connections
  • E4: High pressure protection - Check for blocked condenser
  • E5: Low pressure protection - Check for refrigerant leak
  • E6: Compressor overload - Allow unit to cool down
  • E7: Fan motor failure - Check fan motor and blades
  • E8: Water full protection - Empty drain pan
