Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe cutter
  • Vacuum pump
  • Manifold gauge set
  • Tape measure
  • Torque wrench

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper wall support, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with adequate clearance for airflow.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit Bracket: Securely mount the mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors and ensure it is perfectly level.
  3. Drill Wall Hole: Drill a hole through the wall for refrigerant pipes, drain hose, and electrical wiring with proper slope for drainage.
  4. Install Outdoor Unit: Place outdoor unit on stable, level surface with proper vibration pads and adequate clearance for airflow and service access.
  5. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation and avoiding sharp bends.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect to properly rated electrical supply with dedicated circuit breaker. Follow local electrical codes.
  7. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate air and moisture from refrigerant lines using vacuum pump, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  8. Test Run: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and thermostat operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. Improper installation may cause injury, property damage, or void warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power issue, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, incorrect temperature setting Clean filters, clear obstructions, set appropriate temperature
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clear drain pipe, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration Tighten mounting, clear debris, check installation stability
Frozen indoor unit Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, ensure proper airflow
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, sensor issue Replace batteries, clear line of sight, check remote sensor

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor error - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Pipe temperature sensor error - Check sensor connection
  • E3: High pressure protection - Check for blockage, clean outdoor unit
  • E4: Low pressure protection - Check for leaks, refrigerant charge
  • E5: Compressor overload - Allow unit to cool, check voltage
  • E6: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • E7: Fan motor error - Check fan motor and blades
