Installation Manual & User Guide

Wall Mounted Split System

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Refrigerant charging scale
  • Tubing cutter and flaring tool
  • Torque wrench
  • Level
  • Drill with hole saw (70-80mm)
  • Leak detector

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance (min 15cm from ceiling, 30cm from walls) on a solid wall that can support unit weight.
  2. Install Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to the wall using appropriate anchors and ensure it is perfectly level.
  3. Drill Wall Hole: Drill a 70mm hole through the wall with a slight downward slope (1cm per meter) for drainage.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect indoor and outdoor units with insulated copper pipes using flare connections. Apply leak detection solution to all joints.
  5. Connect Drainage: Install drain hose with proper downward slope (1:50 minimum) to ensure water drainage.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect power cables according to local electrical codes. Ensure proper grounding and use dedicated circuit.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns for 15 minutes, then charge with specified amount of R410A refrigerant.
  8. Test Operation: Run system in cooling and heating modes to verify proper operation and check for leaks.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians only. Improper installation may cause injury, property damage, or void warranty.

Key Features

Dual Inverter Compressor

LG's advanced Dual Inverter technology provides precise temperature control, faster cooling/heating, and up to 70% energy savings compared to conventional compressors.

4-Way Air Deflection

Four-way air deflection ensures even distribution of cool or warm air throughout the room, eliminating hot or cold spots for consistent comfort.

Plasma Air Purification

Built-in plasma air purification system removes up to 99.9% of airborne bacteria, viruses, and allergens for cleaner, healthier indoor air.

SmartThinQ Technology

Wi-Fi enabled for remote control via smartphone app, allowing you to monitor energy usage, adjust settings, and receive maintenance alerts from anywhere.

Auto Clean Function

Automatically dries the indoor unit's heat exchanger after use to prevent mold and bacteria growth, maintaining air quality and system efficiency.

Low Ambient Operation

Specialized technology allows heating operation even in extremely cold temperatures down to -15°C, ensuring year-round comfort.

Operating Modes

Cool Mode

Standard cooling operation with adjustable temperature (16-30°C) and fan speed

Heat Mode

Heating operation with defrost cycle for efficient winter performance

Dry Mode

Dehumidification without significant temperature change for humid conditions

Fan Mode

Air circulation only with adjustable fan speeds (Low, Medium, High, Auto)

Auto Mode

Automatic selection of cooling or heating based on room temperature

Sleep Mode

Gradually adjusts temperature and reduces fan noise for undisturbed sleep

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power failure, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak, outdoor unit obstructed Clean filters, clear obstructions, check refrigerant charge, clear outdoor unit area
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope, frozen evaporator Clean drain pipe, ensure proper slope, check for ice formation
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration from mounting Tighten all screws, clear debris from fans, check mounting stability
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan, stagnant water Clean filters and drain pan, run fan mode to dry unit
Remote not working Batteries dead, signal blocked, distance too far Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, stay within 7 meters
