Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Drill with hole saw
  • Vacuum pump and gauge manifold
  • Tape measure

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location on a solid wall with proper clearance from obstructions, near electrical connection, and with proper drainage access.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit Bracket: Securely mount the bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors and ensure it is perfectly level.
  3. Drill Wall Hole: Drill a hole through the wall for refrigerant piping, drainage hose, and electrical wiring.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Piping: Connect the refrigerant pipes between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring flare connections are tight and leak-free.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Route the drain hose with a downward slope to ensure proper drainage.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded dedicated circuit as specified in the electrical requirements.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate the system using a vacuum pump and charge with refrigerant according to specifications.
  8. Test Run: Run the air conditioner through all modes to check for proper operation, cooling/heating performance, and drainage.
Warning: Installation must be performed by a qualified HVAC technician. Improper installation may result in water leakage, electric shock, or fire.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
AC won't start Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak, outdoor unit obstructed Clean filters, clear obstructions, check for leaks, clear outdoor unit area
Water leakage Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope, frozen evaporator Clean drain pipe, ensure proper slope, check for ice buildup
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration from mounting Tighten all screws, clean fan blades, check mounting stability
Foul odor Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan, stagnant water Clean filters, run auto clean function, ensure proper drainage
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, remote sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check indoor unit sensor
