Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump
  • Manifold gauge set
  • Torque wrench
  • Flaring tool
  • Level
  • Drill with core bit
  • Refrigerant scale

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearances, away from heat sources, and with adequate drainage.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate securely on wall, ensuring proper leveling for condensate drainage.
  3. Drill Wall Hole: Create hole for refrigerant piping, drain hose, and electrical wiring between indoor and outdoor units.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes using flare connections, ensuring proper torque specifications.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Install drain hose with proper slope for water drainage, using insulation to prevent condensation.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect power supply according to local electrical codes and unit specifications.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system using vacuum pump, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  8. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not starting Power supply issue, remote control batteries dead Check circuit breaker, replace remote batteries, ensure power switch is on
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear obstructions around units
Water leakage Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clean drain pipe, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration Tighten mounting hardware, clean fan blades, check isolation
Frozen indoor unit Dirty filters, low airflow, low refrigerant Clean filters, check fan operation, verify refrigerant charge
Remote not working Batteries dead, signal obstruction, distance too far Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, stay within 7 meters

Error Codes

  • CH 01: Indoor unit PCB error - Check connections, replace if necessary
  • CH 02: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • CH 03: Compressor error - Check compressor and inverter board
  • CH 04: Fan motor error - Check indoor fan motor and connections
  • CH 05: Outdoor temperature sensor error - Replace sensor
  • CH 06: Refrigerant leak - Check for leaks and recharge system
