Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a window that can support the unit's weight and has access to a dedicated electrical outlet.
- Prepare Window Area: Clean the window sill and ensure it's level. Remove any obstructions from the installation area.
- Install Support Brackets: Secure the mounting brackets to the window sill according to manufacturer specifications.
- Place Air Conditioner: Carefully lift the unit and place it on the support brackets, ensuring it's level and secure.
- Extend Side Panels: Extend the side panels to fill the window opening completely and secure them in place.
- Seal the Unit: Apply weather stripping and sealant around the unit to prevent air leaks and water infiltration.
- Electrical Connection: Plug into a dedicated 120V, 15A grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.
- Test Operation: Turn on the unit and test all functions including cooling, fan, and thermostat settings.
