Tools Needed:

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Level
  • Drill with bits
  • Tape measure
  • Sealant gun
  • Support brackets

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a window that can support the unit's weight and has access to a dedicated electrical outlet.
  2. Prepare Window Area: Clean the window sill and ensure it's level. Remove any obstructions from the installation area.
  3. Install Support Brackets: Secure the mounting brackets to the window sill according to manufacturer specifications.
  4. Place Air Conditioner: Carefully lift the unit and place it on the support brackets, ensuring it's level and secure.
  5. Extend Side Panels: Extend the side panels to fill the window opening completely and secure them in place.
  6. Seal the Unit: Apply weather stripping and sealant around the unit to prevent air leaks and water infiltration.
  7. Electrical Connection: Plug into a dedicated 120V, 15A grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.
  8. Test Operation: Turn on the unit and test all functions including cooling, fan, and thermostat settings.
Warning: Installation should be performed by two people due to the weight of the unit. Ensure proper support to prevent injury or damage.
