Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Tape measure
  • Vacuum pump and gauges

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper wall support, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with adequate clearance for airflow.
  2. Install Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors and ensure it is perfectly level.
  3. Create Wall Opening: Drill a 3-inch hole through the wall for refrigerant lines and drainage hose.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect the copper refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 220V, 50Hz circuit with proper grounding. Follow local electrical codes.
  6. Drainage Setup: Install the drainage hose with a downward slope to ensure proper water drainage.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate air from refrigerant lines using a vacuum pump and charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  8. Test Run: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan modes, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. DIY installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, incorrect temperature setting Clean filters, clear obstructions, set appropriate temperature
Water leaking indoors Clogged drainage, improper installation slope Clear drainage pipe, ensure proper downward slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, improper installation Tighten all screws, clean fan blades, check installation
Frozen indoor unit Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant level, ensure proper airflow
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, remote damage Replace batteries, clear line of sight, check remote functionality
