Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Drill with hole saw
  • Tape measure
  • Vacuum pump
  • Manifold gauge set

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper wall support, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with adequate clearance for airflow.
  2. Install Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to the wall using appropriate anchors and ensure it is perfectly level.
  3. Drill Wall Hole: Drill a 3-inch hole through the wall for refrigerant lines and drainage hose at a slight downward angle.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect the refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring flare connections are tight and leak-free.
  5. Connect Drainage: Install the drainage hose with a continuous downward slope to ensure proper water drainage.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 220V, 50Hz circuit with proper grounding. Follow local electrical codes.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate the system using a vacuum pump for at least 15 minutes, then release the refrigerant charge.
  8. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. Improper installation may void warranty and cause safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, low refrigerant, outdoor unit blocked Clean filters, check for refrigerant leak, clear outdoor unit area
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clear drain pipe, ensure proper downward slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibrating pipes Tighten mounting, clear debris, secure refrigerant lines
Frozen indoor unit Dirty filters, low refrigerant, fan motor issue Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, inspect fan motor
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal blocked, sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check remote sensor
