Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a sturdy window that can support the unit's weight, preferably near an electrical outlet.
- Prepare Window Area: Clean the window sill and ensure it's level. Remove any obstacles or debris.
- Install Support Bracket: For units over 10,000 BTU, install the support bracket according to manufacturer instructions.
- Mount Side Panels: Extend side panels to fit window width and secure them in place.
- Place Air Conditioner: Carefully lift the unit into the window opening, ensuring it sits securely on the sill and bracket.
- Secure the Unit: Close the window onto the top of the unit and secure with the provided locking mechanism.
- Seal Gaps: Use the provided foam seals to fill gaps between the unit and window frame.
- Electrical Connection: Plug into a dedicated 115V, 15A grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords.
- Test Operation: Turn on the unit and test all functions including cooling, fan speeds, and thermostat.
