Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Level
  • Tape measure
  • Drill (if needed for mounting)
  • Support bracket (for larger units)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a sturdy window that can support the unit's weight, preferably near an electrical outlet.
  2. Prepare Window Area: Clean the window sill and ensure it's level. Remove any obstacles or debris.
  3. Install Support Bracket: For units over 10,000 BTU, install the support bracket according to manufacturer instructions.
  4. Mount Side Panels: Extend side panels to fit window width and secure them in place.
  5. Place Air Conditioner: Carefully lift the unit into the window opening, ensuring it sits securely on the sill and bracket.
  6. Secure the Unit: Close the window onto the top of the unit and secure with the provided locking mechanism.
  7. Seal Gaps: Use the provided foam seals to fill gaps between the unit and window frame.
  8. Electrical Connection: Plug into a dedicated 115V, 15A grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords.
  9. Test Operation: Turn on the unit and test all functions including cooling, fan speeds, and thermostat.
Warning: Installation should be performed by two adults. Ensure proper support for heavier units to prevent falling hazards.
