Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Adjustable wrench
  • Tape measure
  • Vacuum pump and gauge manifold

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper wall support, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with adequate clearance for airflow.
  2. Install Mounting Bracket: Securely mount the indoor unit bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors for your wall type.
  3. Create Wall Opening: Drill a hole through the wall for refrigerant lines, drain hose, and electrical connections.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect the copper refrigerant lines between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Route the condensate drain hose with a slight downward slope to ensure proper drainage.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated circuit with proper grounding according to local electrical codes.
  7. Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate air from refrigerant lines using a vacuum pump before releasing refrigerant charge.
  8. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians. DIY installation may void warranty and create safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power issue, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak, outdoor unit obstructed Clean filters, clear obstructions, check for leaks, clear area around outdoor unit
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope, frozen evaporator Clear drain pipe, ensure proper slope, check for ice buildup
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, compressor issues Tighten mounting hardware, clear debris from fans, contact service if compressor noise
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan, stagnant water Clean/replace filters, clean drain pan, ensure proper drainage
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, sensor issues Replace batteries, ensure clear line of sight, check indoor unit sensor

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Evaporator temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E3: Communication error between units - Check wiring connections
  • E4: High pressure protection - Check for blocked condenser or fan issues
  • E5: Low pressure protection - Check for refrigerant leak or blockage
  • E6: Compressor overload - Allow unit to cool down, check voltage
  • E7: Fan motor error - Check fan motor and blades
