Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Refrigerant scale
  • Flaring tool set
  • Tubing cutter
  • Torque wrench
  • Level
  • Drill with core bit
  • Leak detector

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance (minimum 15cm from ceiling, 30cm from walls) and adequate structural support.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit Bracket: Securely mount the bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors for wall type.
  3. Drill Wall Hole: Drill a 65mm diameter hole through the wall with a slight downward slope to the outside.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units using flare connections. Ensure pipes are properly insulated.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Install drain hose with proper downward slope (minimum 1/100 gradient) to ensure proper drainage.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper grounding. Follow local electrical codes.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns, hold for 15 minutes, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  8. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians only. Improper installation may cause injury, damage, or void warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not starting Power outage, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak Clean filters, clear obstructions, contact service technician
Water dripping indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clear drain pipe, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, ice buildup Tighten mounting, clear debris, defrost unit
Remote not working Batteries dead, signal blocked, sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, reset unit
Foul odor Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan Clean filters and drain pan, run fan mode to dry

Error Codes

  • P1/P2: Abnormal pressure - Check refrigerant charge and compressor
  • E1/E2: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • F1/F2: Temperature sensor failure - Replace faulty sensor
  • H1/H2: Defrost operation - Normal during heating in cold conditions
  • U4: Indoor/outdoor communication - Check connection and power
  • J1/J2: Remote control communication - Replace remote batteries or check sensor
