Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Torque wrench
  • Flaring tool set
  • Pipe cutter
  • Level
  • Drill with hole saw attachment
  • Refrigerant scale

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location for both indoor and outdoor units with proper clearances, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate on wall, ensuring it is level. Leave adequate space for air circulation and maintenance access.
  3. Install Outdoor Unit: Place on stable, level surface with proper vibration isolation pads. Maintain minimum clearances as specified.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Cut and flare copper pipes to required length. Connect indoor and outdoor units ensuring airtight connections.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Install drain hose with proper slope (minimum 1/100 gradient) to ensure condensate water drains effectively.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect power supply according to local electrical codes. Ensure proper grounding and correct voltage (208-230V).
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system using vacuum pump for minimum 30 minutes. Charge with specified amount of R410A refrigerant.
  8. Test Run: Perform test operation to check cooling/heating functions, thermostat accuracy, and drainage system.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians only. Improper installation may cause equipment damage, reduced efficiency, or safety hazards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power outage, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak, outdoor unit obstructed Clean filters, clear obstructions, check for leaks, clear area around outdoor unit
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope, frozen evaporator Clear drain line, ensure proper slope, check for ice formation
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration from mounting Tighten all components, clean fan blades, check mounting stability
Frozen coils Dirty filters, low refrigerant, restricted airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, ensure proper airflow
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, sensor issues Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check remote sensor

Error Codes

  • P1/P2: Power supply issue - Check voltage and wiring connections
  • E1/E2: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor and outdoor units
  • F1/F2: Temperature sensor failure - Replace defective sensor
  • H1/H2: Defrost mode active - Normal operation in heating mode
  • J1/J2: Refrigerant system error - Check for leaks or restrictions
