Wall Mounted Split System

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Refrigerant charging scale
  • Torque wrench
  • Flaring tool set
  • Tube cutter and bender
  • Multimeter
  • Level

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance (minimum 30cm from ceiling, 15cm from walls) and away from heat sources.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit Bracket: Securely mount the mounting plate to the wall using appropriate anchors for wall type.
  3. Drill Pipe Hole: Drill a 65mm hole through the wall with a slight downward slope to the outside for drainage.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect indoor and outdoor units with flare connections, ensuring proper insulation on pipes.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Install drain hose with proper downward slope (minimum 1/100 gradient) and insulation.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper grounding according to local electrical codes.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns and charge with specified amount of R32 refrigerant.
  8. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians only. Improper installation may cause equipment damage, poor performance, or safety hazards.

Compatible with MELCloud app for remote control, scheduling, energy monitoring, and integration with smart home systems.

Eco-friendly R32 Refrigerant

Uses R32 refrigerant with lower global warming potential (GWP 675) compared to traditional refrigerants, reducing environmental impact.

Advanced Operation Modes

Powerful Mode

Rapid cooling/heating to reach desired temperature quickly, then automatically switches to normal operation

Eco Mode

Optimizes operation for energy savings while maintaining comfort levels

Sleep Mode

Gradually adjusts temperature and reduces fan speed for comfortable sleeping conditions

Dry Mode

Reduces humidity while maintaining comfortable temperature, ideal for rainy seasons

I-Feel Control

Uses remote control's temperature sensor to maintain perfect temperature at your location

Auto Swing

Automatically adjusts louver direction for optimal air distribution throughout the room

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not starting Power outage, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, incorrect temperature setting Clean filters, remove obstructions, set appropriate temperature
Water dripping indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope Clean drain pipe, ensure proper downward slope (1/100 minimum)
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, ice formation Tighten mounting screws, clean indoor/outdoor units, check for ice buildup
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan Clean/replace filters, clean drain pan with mild disinfectant
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, distance too far Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, stay within 7 meters

Error Codes

  • E0: Protection device activated - Wait 3 minutes and restart
  • E1: Indoor PCB error - Contact service center
  • E6/E7: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • H0: Refrigerant leak detected - Contact certified technician
  • H9: Outdoor temperature sensor error - Contact service center
  • P1/P2: Overcurrent protection - Check power supply and wiring
