Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Fresh batteries (AAA x 2)
  • Small screwdriver (if battery cover is screwed)
  • Clean cloth

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote and insert two AAA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-).
  2. Battery Cover Replacement: Securely close the battery compartment cover. If screws are present, tighten them gently.
  3. Initial Setup: Point the remote directly at the air conditioner's infrared receiver (usually located on the indoor unit).
  4. Code Synchronization: For universal remotes, follow the code search procedure in the programming section to sync with your Mitsubishi unit.
  5. Test Functions: Test basic functions like power on/off, temperature adjustment, and mode selection to ensure proper operation.
  6. Remote Placement: Place the remote in a location with clear line-of-sight to the air conditioner, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
  7. Final Check: Ensure all buttons respond correctly and the display (if any) is clear and readable.
Warning: Do not mix old and new batteries. Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

Troubleshooting
