Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigeration gauge manifold
  • Vacuum pump
  • Torque wrench
  • Flaring tool set
  • Pipe cutter
  • Level
  • Multimeter

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance (minimum 30cm from ceiling, 15cm from walls) and strong wall structure.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate anchors for wall type (concrete/brick/plasterboard).
  3. Install Refrigerant Piping: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation and avoiding sharp bends.
  4. Electrical Wiring: Connect power supply (230V, 50Hz) following Singapore electrical safety standards (SS638).
  5. Drainage Installation: Install drain hose with proper downward slope (minimum 1:100 gradient) to ensure water drainage.
  6. Vacuum and Leak Test: Evacuate system to 500 microns and perform leak test with nitrogen at 28 bar.
  7. Release Refrigerant: Open service valves to release R32 refrigerant into system.
  8. Test Operation: Run system in cooling and heating modes to verify proper operation and temperature performance.
Warning: Installation must be performed by BCA-certified air-conditioning technicians in Singapore. DIY installation voids warranty and may violate safety regulations.
