Wall-mounted Split System

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Torque wrench
  • Flaring tool set
  • Tube cutter
  • Level
  • Drill with core bit
  • Refrigerant scale

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance (minimum 30cm from ceiling, 15cm from walls) on a solid wall that can support the unit's weight.
  2. Install Wall Bracket: Mount the wall bracket securely using appropriate anchors for your wall type, ensuring it is perfectly level.
  3. Drill Wall Hole: Drill a 65mm hole through the wall with a slight downward slope to the outside for proper drainage.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect the indoor and outdoor units with flare connections, ensuring proper torque specifications are followed.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Route the drain hose with a continuous downward slope to ensure proper condensation drainage.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated circuit with proper grounding according to local electrical codes.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate the system to 500 microns and charge with the specified amount of R32 refrigerant.
  8. Test Operation: Run the system in cooling and heating modes to verify proper operation and check for leaks.
Warning: Installation must be performed by a certified HVAC technician. Improper installation may cause refrigerant leaks, electrical hazards, or void warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit won't start Power issue, remote control batteries dead, circuit breaker tripped Check power supply, replace remote batteries, reset circuit breaker
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak, incorrect mode Clean filters, clear obstructions, check for leaks, verify mode setting
Water dripping indoors Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope, frozen evaporator Clear drain pipe, ensure proper slope, check for ice formation
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration from mounting Tighten components, clean fan blades, check mounting stability
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan, stagnant water Clean/replace filters, clean drain pan, ensure proper drainage
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, remote sensor issue Replace batteries, clear line of sight, check indoor unit sensor
