Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigeration gauge manifold
  • Vacuum pump
  • Tubing cutter and bender
  • Torque wrench
  • Multimeter
  • Level
  • Insulation materials

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Site Selection: Choose appropriate locations for outdoor unit (well-ventilated area) and indoor units (avoid direct sunlight and heat sources).
  2. Mounting Brackets: Install mounting brackets for outdoor unit on solid wall or concrete pad with proper clearance.
  3. Refrigerant Piping: Connect refrigerant piping between outdoor and indoor units using flare connections. Ensure proper insulation.
  4. Electrical Connections: Connect power supply to outdoor unit (220-240V) and indoor units. Follow local electrical codes.
  5. Drainage System: Install condensate drain lines with proper slope (minimum 1/100 gradient) and trap.
  6. Communication Wiring: Connect communication cables between outdoor unit and all indoor units.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns, hold for 15 minutes, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
  8. System Test: Power on system, test all functions, check for leaks, and verify proper operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians only. Improper installation may void warranty and cause system failure.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
System won't start Power outage, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked vents, refrigerant leak, outdoor unit obstructed Clean filters, clear obstructions, check for leaks, clear area around outdoor unit
Water leakage Clogged drain line, improper installation, frozen evaporator Clear drain line, check installation, defrost system
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration from mounting Tighten components, clear debris, check mounting stability
Error code displayed System malfunction, sensor failure, communication error Note error code, consult manual, contact technician
Ice formation Low refrigerant, dirty filters, fan motor failure Check refrigerant charge, clean filters, inspect fan motor

Common Error Codes

  • P1/P2: High/Low pressure protection - Check refrigerant charge and pressure
  • E6/E7: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • F3: Discharge pipe temperature sensor error
  • H3: High pressure switch error - Check for restrictions
  • J3: Discharge temperature sensor error
  • U4: Indoor/outdoor communication error
  • UA: Indoor unit address setting error
