Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
- Refrigerant charging scale
- Tubing bender and flaring tool
- Torque wrench
- Multimeter
- Level
- Drill with hole saw
Step-by-Step Installation
- Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearances (minimum 6 inches from ceiling, 12 inches from walls). Ensure wall can support unit weight.
- Install Wall Mounting Plate: Securely mount the plate to wall studs using provided hardware, ensuring it is perfectly level.
- Create Wall Penetration: Drill a 3-inch hole through the wall at a downward angle (outside lower than inside) for drainage.
- Connect Refrigerant Lines: Connect pre-flared copper tubing between indoor and outdoor units. Use torque wrench for proper tightness.
- Connect Electrical Wiring: Connect power and communication cables according to wiring diagram. Ensure proper grounding.
- Connect Drain Line: Install drain hose with continuous downward slope (minimum 1/4 inch per foot) to proper drainage location.
- Vacuum and Charge System: Evacuate system to 500 microns, hold for 15 minutes, then charge with specified refrigerant amount.
- Test Operation: Test cooling and heating modes, check for proper drainage, and verify remote control operation.
