Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Refrigerant charging hose
  • Flaring tool set
  • Torque wrench
  • Pipe cutter
  • Level
  • Drill with hole saw attachment

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearances, away from heat sources, and with adequate structural support for both indoor and outdoor units.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate securely on wall, ensuring it is level. Hang indoor unit on plate.
  3. Install Outdoor Unit: Place outdoor unit on stable, level surface with proper vibration isolation pads.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units using flare connections. Ensure proper insulation on pipes.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Install drain hose with proper downward slope to ensure proper condensation drainage.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect power supply to outdoor unit and communication wires between indoor and outdoor units following local electrical codes.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system using vacuum pump, then charge with specified amount of R-410A refrigerant.
  8. Test System: Power on system and test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by certified HVAC technicians only. Improper installation can cause equipment damage, reduced efficiency, and void warranty.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not turning on Power outage, circuit breaker tripped, remote battery dead Check power supply, reset breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check for leaks, clear obstructions around units
Water leaking indoors Clogged drain line, improper installation slope Clear drain line, ensure proper downward slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration Tighten mounting, clear debris, check isolation pads
Ice formation on unit Dirty filters, low refrigerant, faulty defrost cycle Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, verify defrost operation
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, sensor issue Replace batteries, clear line of sight, check sensor

Error Codes

  • P1/P2: Power supply issue - Check voltage and connections
  • E6: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • H9: Outdoor temperature sensor error - Replace sensor
  • F3: Discharge pipe temperature error - Check refrigerant charge
  • U4: Indoor/outdoor communication error - Check wiring and connections
  • EA: Outdoor fan motor error - Check fan motor and blades
