Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Vacuum pump with gauge manifold
  • Refrigerant charging scale
  • Torque wrench
  • Flaring tool set
  • Pipe cutter and reamer
  • Multimeter
  • Level
  • Drill with hole saw

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose appropriate locations for both indoor and outdoor units considering airflow, drainage, and service access.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit Bracket: Securely mount the wall bracket using appropriate wall anchors for the wall type.
  3. Drill Wall Hole: Drill a 70mm diameter hole through the wall with a slight downward slope toward the outside.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Pipes: Connect copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring proper insulation and avoiding sharp bends.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Install drain hose with proper slope (minimum 1/100 gradient) to ensure water drainage.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect power supply according to local electrical codes. Ensure proper grounding and circuit protection.
  7. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate the system to remove moisture and air, then charge with specified amount of refrigerant.
  8. Test Operation: Test all functions including cooling, heating, fan speeds, and remote control operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by qualified HVAC technicians in accordance with local regulations and safety standards.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not starting Power issue, circuit breaker tripped, remote control batteries dead Check power supply, reset circuit breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, blocked airflow, refrigerant leak, outdoor unit obstructed Clean filters, clear obstructions, check for leaks, clear outdoor unit area
Water leakage Clogged drain pipe, improper installation slope, frozen evaporator Clean drain pipe, ensure proper slope, check for ice formation
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration from mounting Tighten all components, clean fan blades, check mounting stability
Foul odors Dirty filters, mold growth in drain pan, stagnant water Clean filters and drain pan, use anti-bacterial treatment
Remote not working Dead batteries, signal obstruction, remote sensor issue Replace batteries, ensure line of sight, check indoor unit sensor
