Split System & Central AC Units

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Refrigeration manifold gauge set
  • Vacuum pump
  • Torque wrench
  • Tube cutter and bender
  • Leak detector
  • Multimeter
  • Level
  • Drill with masonry bits

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Select Installation Location: Choose a location with proper clearance (minimum 30cm around unit), solid mounting surface, and away from heat sources.
  2. Mount Indoor Unit: Install mounting plate securely on wall, ensuring level placement at least 15cm from ceiling and 2.2m from floor.
  3. Install Outdoor Unit: Place on level concrete pad or mounting brackets with proper vibration isolation and minimum 50cm clearance on all sides.
  4. Connect Refrigerant Lines: Run insulated copper lines between units, using proper bending radius to avoid kinks. Pressure test with nitrogen.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to dedicated circuit with proper disconnect switch. Follow local electrical codes for wire sizing and grounding.
  6. Vacuum and Charge: Evacuate system to 500 microns, hold vacuum for 30 minutes. Charge with specified refrigerant amount by weight.
  7. Drainage System: Install condensate drain line with proper slope (minimum 1cm per meter) and trap where required.
  8. System Test: Test all modes, check temperature differential (typically 8-12°C), verify proper drainage and electrical operation.
Warning: Installation must be performed by licensed HVAC technicians. Refrigerant handling requires EPA certification. Improper installation voids warranty.

Key Features

Inverter Technology

Variable speed compressor adjusts cooling/heating output to match exact requirements, reducing energy consumption by up to 40% compared to conventional units.

Wi-Fi Connectivity

Smart control via mobile app allows remote temperature adjustment, scheduling, energy monitoring, and maintenance alerts from anywhere.

Multi-Stage Filtration

Four-stage filtration system including anti-bacterial filter, deodorizing filter, dust filter, and optional HEPA filter for improved indoor air quality.

Quiet Operation

Specialized noise reduction technology including insulated compressor compartment, fan blade design, and vibration dampeners for ultra-quiet performance.

Auto Clean Function

Automatically dries the indoor unit's heat exchanger after operation to prevent mold growth and maintain optimal efficiency.

Wide Temperature Operation

Operates efficiently in extreme conditions: cooling down to -10°C outdoor temperature, heating down to -25°C outdoor temperature.

Operating Modes Explained

Cool Mode

Standard cooling operation with adjustable temperature (16-30°C) and fan speed control

Heat Mode

Heating operation for heat pump models with defrost cycle for winter operation

Dry Mode

Dehumidification without significant temperature change for humid conditions

Fan Mode

Air circulation only without cooling/heating, multiple fan speeds available

Auto Mode

Automatically switches between cooling and heating based on room temperature

Sleep Mode

Gradually adjusts temperature and reduces fan speed for comfortable sleeping conditions

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Unit not starting Power loss, tripped breaker, faulty remote Check power supply, reset breaker, replace remote batteries
Poor cooling/heating Dirty filters, low refrigerant, blocked airflow Clean filters, check refrigerant charge, clear obstructions
Water leakage Clogged drain line, improper installation slope Clear drain line, ensure proper drainage slope
Unusual noises Loose parts, debris in fan, vibration Tighten components, clean fan blades, check mounting
Frozen coils Low airflow, low refrigerant, dirty coils Check filters and fan, verify refrigerant charge, clean coils
Frequent cycling Oversized unit, thermostat issues, dirty condenser Check sizing, calibrate thermostat, clean outdoor unit
Bad odors Dirty filters, mold growth, stagnant water Clean/replace filters, use anti-bacterial treatment, ensure drainage

Error Codes

  • E1: Room temperature sensor failure - Check sensor connection
  • E2: Pipe temperature sensor failure - Check sensor and wiring
  • E3: High pressure protection - Check condenser airflow and refrigerant
  • E4: Low pressure protection - Check for leaks and refrigerant charge
  • E5: Compressor overload - Check voltage and compressor windings
  • E6: Communication error - Check wiring between indoor/outdoor units
  • E7: Fan motor error - Check fan motor and capacitor
  • E8: Water full protection - Check drain system and float switch

Maintenance Schedule

  • Monthly: Clean air filters
  • Seasonally: Clean indoor and outdoor coils
